[doesn't stop him, though, since he knows Genpachi is strong enough to handle that. he settles with closing the window and staying near the door despite what he was told about the warm.]

[He laughs as he leaves. He's gone perhaps longer than he would be in normal weather, but returns soaked and carting a large armful of fallen branches. Pausing in the doorway at the sight of Shino.]

Shino...?

[immaturelycursed]

[Shino is sitting cross-legged on the ground, Murasame is napping on his head.]

Here is warm enough.

It's not. And you're still soaked.

[Stripping his coat and shirt to lay them by the fire, and kicking his boots off as well before going over to lift Shino up, turn around and put him down closer to the stove.]

[protesting! but his ankle is properly swollen now so that's hard to hide and he stumbles a little. Murasame is waking up with a yelp and going by the fire.]

Hey, I can do it myself!

And make your ankle worse?

[Kneeling in front of Shino. Hm, getting his boots off without hurting him is going to be tricky, but he tries.]

It’s not that bad.

[he’s already missing one boot, but he winces and lets Genpachi take off the rest.]

[Lifting Shino's foot gently, examining the swelling.]

You shouldn't walk on this.

[shifts a little to look at it, too.]

Eh? It should be better by tomorrow.

[oni_san]

Keep off it until then.

[He gets up to check the sheets, patting the dust off them.]

You can wear these until your clothes dry. I'm afraid I din't bring anything.

I guess I don't have much of a choice, right now. I didn't bring anything either.

[he starts to ease out of the rest of his clothes, except for underwear, but he doesn't move from the ground.]

[Draping the sheet over Shino and taking his wet clothes to lay out near the fire. Outside the storm is raging with flashes of lightning and thunder, howling winds, and the crash of falling trees.]

It's getting lively out there.

[sneezes because of the remaining dust in the sheet, but he shakes his head and curls it completely around himself, but he doesn't thank Genpachi!!!! also he almost jumps with the worst noises.]

It chose the worst time for it.

Not much we can do now. I should have brought Megu, he could block the window from letting in drafts.

[Sitting next to the stove across from Shino.]

Ah. That's all that guy is useful for.

[relaxes a little, legs crossed.]

You should take off some of those clothes, too, you know.

I don't think I can get sick.

I can't get sick either.

[picks up one of his boots and throws it at Genpachi.]

[Hit in the faace. He goes over backwards.]

You didn't even try to avoid it.

[sighs, shifting closer to poke him with one foot.]

Take some off.

[oni_san]

[He didn't try at all. And props himself on his elbows.]

That's the kind of thing I'd be glad to hear from you in a few years, but not right now.

[tempted to reach out for his other boot.]

[Teasing Shino is fun though.]
